Limbcare, a charity that supports amputees and their families, can now receive payments through the Onescan mobile payments system. Limbcare is the first charity to sign up to Onescan and is looking to use the system to make donating even easier - online, at events, and even straight from a leaflet or advert. Onescan is a mobile interaction platform that allows people to use their mobile phones to conveniently donate money (or pay for goods and services) using a specially designed, secure, patented mobile app.
By partnering with Onescan, Limbcare’s supporters can now easily donate by simply using their mobile phone to scan the special Onescan Padlock codes. This secure code, which looks like a QR code, is displayed on the Limbcare website, and will also be on other marketing material, including leaflets, posters, banners etc.
To give to Limbcare, donors will first need to download the Onescan app for iPhone or Android handsets, and then enter their payment and other personal information. This information is automatically encrypted and protected and only needs to be entered once. Thereafter, donors can use the Onescan app to make donations or to pay for goods and services wherever they see the Onescan Padlock code.
For Limbcare donations, after scanning the code, users can choose the amount they wish to donate, and then confirm the transaction. Onescan takes care of the payment – safely and securely – and sends an email to confirm the transaction.
